Service Charges
Service & Surcharge
A 10% service charge applies to all bookings of 11 or more guests and is distributed to our wait staff as a gratuity for their service. On Sundays and public holidays, a surcharge of $5 per person applies – except when the service charge is in effect. Additional fees may apply to all card transactions, with rates varying by card type and payment method. Please note, third-party processing fees (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, or in-store terminals) are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

When it comes to finding a great restaurant in Chadstone Shopping Centre, one of the things that sets The Meat & Wine Co apart is our Afro-centric dining. This includes the ‘Boma’, which is at the heart of our restaurant design.
The roots of the word “Boma” date back to pre-colonial Africa and lie in the languages spoken in the African Great Lakes. Originally, it was used to describe a rudimental enclosure for livestock or a place for safety and gathering, and now means something like an ‘enclosure for community’.
At The Meat & Wine Co Chadstone, we’ve reimagined the traditional Boma as a modern & fine dining space with a layered series of circular seated areas featuring accents of woven leather and tonal décor.

Queen Makeda is a private dining room ideal for groups of 10-12. It seats 12. The space measures 15 square metres, offering a comfortable setting for private bookings. Table setup includes a long table. The quiet environment makes it easy to hold conversations or focus. It’s also suitable for presentations or speeches. A TV is available for media or visual needs. Air conditioning is provided.
