2016 Tolpuddle Pinot Noir - Coal River Valley, TAS 30/135
Established in 1988 and dedicated to Chardonnay & Pinot Noir in the Coal River Valley near Richmond in Tasmania. Part whole bunch pressed giving stemmy, pepper and dried red fruit characters. Cassis, cranberries and cedar with roasted nuts with this full bodied style Pinot Noir. Tannin, texture with huge aromas and length. One Pinot Noir to definitely try.
2016 Wirra Wirra ‘RSW’ Shiraz - McLaren Vale, SA 30/140
‘RSW’ Rober t Strangways Wigley, a noted South Australian eccentric, state cricketer who established Wirra Wirra back in 1894. Love this wine. 100% Shiraz from 100% McLaren Vale. Blueberries, blackberries, plum, cassis, chocolate, cedar, tobacco, violets, star anise, black olives are all abundant in this absolute ripper Shiraz. Power showing tannin finess and depth, equal balance with acidity, structure and length that will suit dry aged beef and charcoaled game.
2016 Boekenhoutskloof ‘Chocolate Block' Blend - Franschoek Valley, SA 27/120
A rich delicious blend of Syrah (79%), Grenache Noir (11%), Cabernet Sauvignon (6%), Cinsault (3%) and Viognier (1%). Lower yields in 2016, resulting in higher berry concentration. The Syrah being our structural backbone. French oak barrels for 16 months. The nose is exceptionally perfumed with an abundance of red & dark berry fruit, violets, intense aromas of white pepper with dark fruit follows a structured, opulent palate with spices of cloves and black pepper. Rich, textured, balanced with acidity, cocoa powdery tannins, definite cedarwood character with a lovely smooth velvety finish. Yum.
2006 Torbreck ‘The Factor’ Shiraz - Barossa Valley, SA 48/240
Not for the faint hear ted! Seriously dense and bullish ‘Old Vine’ Shiraz from the Barossa. Huge concentration and purity of deep dark currents, cassis, blackberries and plum. Cedar & spice, chocolate, espresso, leather that integrates so beautifully together with acidity, balance and depth. Just amazing texture and richness that holds palate weight with everlasting flavours and length. A “must try” wine.
2013 Domaine Faiveley Gevrey Chambertin - Gevrey Chamber tin, France 45/210
Time for a Burgundy to make an appearance. Generous red fruit, currents & cherries, fresh dark berry, ear thy with forest aromas. Medium bodied flavors possess good mid-palate concentration. Great depth of sandalwood and licorice with mineral slatey aromas, beautiful and savory with delicious fruit sweetness giving length and structure. Delicious mouthful and concentration delivering a huge long finish. One of the better Gevery’s that is affordable.

Named after Dr. Thomas Brendon Cullity, who founded the Estate in 1967; made from the original planting of Cabernet & Malbec, with a touch of Petit Verdot. 100% Estate grown and only the best hand-picked, wild yeasts, on skins for 20 days giving richness a power of Margaret River magic. Juicy cherry, cassis, cedar, chocolate, spices and oak. Soft tannins showing off amazing depth and length. Wow.
1996 Penfolds ‘Grange’ Shiraz - Regional, SA 2000
Exceptional Vintage. 94% Shiraz/6% Cabernet from Barossa & McLaren, McGill & Padthaway. Spoken in excellence as the 90′ and 1998 Vintages. 100% American oak for 19 months. Dry & mild growing season delivered mature complex ripe fruit. Massive blackberry, boysenberry and cassis fruit with backbone of spiced cloves, black pepper, olive tapenade, cedar with acid & powerful depth. Amazing and in its prime for drinking.
2012 Penfolds ‘RWT’ Red Wine Trial Shiraz - Barossa Valley, SA 350
100% French oak with 75% new. All Barossa fruit hand selected for finesse & elegance. Rich aromatic nose showing coffee, cocoa and chocolate. Deep red fruits, licorice, oak with smallgoods’ aromas and spice. Powerful with subtle tannins, palate is balanced with extraordinary length, blackberry, fruit & nuts, cedar, cooked meats, cassis with viscosity delivering succulent richness. seriously unbelievable Shiraz from one of the better Vintages in Barossa.
2009 Penfolds ‘St Henri’ Shiraz - Barossa Valley, SA 300
97% Shiraz and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Adding a touch of Cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure and strength within the wine, yet the focal point for St Henri remains Shiraz. Compact and restrained, medium-bodied, fruit driven with silkiness and elegance. Delicate soft tannins and acidity loaded with textural balance across the front, middle and back-palate. Berry driven, cassis, cedar and chocolate with generous length. Perfect 10 year old St Henri.

Proudly 100% Shiraz. A wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, forest floor characters with development It is matured in old, 1460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop. All hand-picked from the best of South Australian vineyards from Barossa, McLaren, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Wrattonbully and the elevated Clare Valley. Fresh feeling youthful, showing off pure ripeness of rich blackberry’s, cassis, plum and cedar. Liquorice, black olive, leather, hide and delicious spice express a defined tannin structure with acidity that holds up creating length to worship.
2012 Penfolds ‘Bin 389’ Cabernet Shiraz - Barossa Valley, SA 250
54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Shiraz. Sourced from Penfolds best regions for this classic Australian blend from Wrattonbully, Barossa, McLaren & Langhorne Creek. 12 months in American oak. Exotic aromas of Middle-Eastern dried fruits, spices, mustard powder with deep black fruits and black pepper. Palate is deep and powerful with liquorice, olive tapenade and blackberry flavors. Rich deep dry tannins combine fruit, depth and length creating preenjoyment. Looking good at 7 years.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Barossa, McLaren Vale & Padthaway vineyards. Fantastic Vintage with Winemaker Peter Gago saying this 2002 is in the same league as the 1990 and 1996! 14 months in new American Oak and 100% hand-picked, a no-nonsense Cabernet, this is power and varietal expression at its best within South Australia. Soft oak, Christmas cake, powerful red fruit, cassis and blackcurrant with cedar, spice delivering rich meaty aromas, backbone and structure with a huge long finish and acidity.

As a meat and wine restaurant, it goes without saying that our sommeliers put careful consideration into selecting the best wine for our discerning guests. On our wine menu, you’ll find a handpicked selection of red wines, white wines and dessert wines from esteemed wine regions in Australia and around the globe. In keeping with our African-inspired food menu, we have a select range of white and red varietals and blends available from seasoned winegrowers in South Africa.
