Where to park in South Yarra

South Yarra parking spots: they may seem about as common as the Tasmanian tiger, but there are plenty of options if you know where to look. Whether you’re visiting us at The Meat & Wine Co South Yarra, heading to Prahran markets or exploring all the things to do in South Yarra, try these nearby parking spots.

Como Centre parking

Convenient parking is available at the Como Centre at 650 Chapel Street. This carpark is your closest option if you’re visiting us at The Meat & Wine Co, as it’s within the same building as our restaurant. Casual parking rates start at $16 for drive-ups and $14 if you book online ahead of time.

Colonnade parking

Parking is available at Colonnade Carpark, located at 524-564 Chapel Street, just a few minutes away from The Meat & Wine Co South Yarra. The Colonnade parking station is open 24 hours and parking rates start at $2 for an hour. If you’re heading to the nearby Palace Cinemas, you can validate your Colonnade voucher at the box office for a $5 rate valid for up to 3.5 hours.

Jam Factory parking

Wilson Parking offers affordable and secure 24- hour parking at the Jam Factory Car Park on Garden Street in South Yarra. You can book a parking bay online ahead of time to save money on weekend, night, early bird or monthly parking, and casual parking rates start at $2. The Meat & Wine Co South Yarra is a short 5-minute walk north of the Jam Factory carpark along Chapel St and then right onto Toorak Rd.

Darling Street parking

Adjacent to South Yarra station is the Yarra City Council carpark at 3-7 Darling Street. This is a small carpark with just over 50 spots, but it’s a convenient option for people wanting to park near the station. To get to The Meat & Wine Co from this carpark, walk east on Toorak Road and you’ll reach us in about 8 minutes.

9 Yarra Street parking

Care Park has a parking station at 9 Yarra Street just north of South Yarra Station. The carpark is open on Monday to Thursday until 8:00pm, on Friday until 11:00pm and on weekends until 7:00pm. Casual parking starts at $9 during the week, with a flat rate of $8 on Saturdays and $6 on Sundays. It takes around 7 minutes to walk to The Meat & Wine Co from here, south on Yarra Street and then left onto Toorak Rd.

On-street parking

On-street parking is also available around South Yarra, but be aware that many parking spots are paid and time-restricted. If you do use on-street parking, check the signs to make sure the spot isn’t limited to permit holders, and remember to pay at the pay booth or download the PayStay app to pay online and check out available parking spots in real time.
